Background
The objective of this project is support very small PU users in a cost-effective way by: optimizing, validating and disseminating easy to use low cost PU metering equipment and introducing pre-packaged systems. This project is a pilot project aimed to optimize PU sector technologies and will contribute indirectly to the fulfillment of Montreal protocol obligations in any country with a VSU subsector. In Egypt, Mexico and Nigeria this will facilitate existing, approved programs in the implementation because, if successfully validated, the optimized technology will contribute to availability of better and cost-effective phaseout options.
Accomplishments
- Technical specifications for two (2) types of equipment to test optimized VSU level were developed by the project team.
- Machines have been installed in the system-houses end of December 2018.
- Machines have been tested and reports were written by the system-houses in March 2019.
