Maximizing Egypt's Resources & Capabilities Through ICT

Background

The project contributes to maximizing the resources and capabilities of Egypt through Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to achieve the transformation to the digital society, which will in turn lead to achieving the socio-economic development in Egypt. The Project aims at supporting Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) in implementing its strategy focusing on developing the telecommunication infrastructure, creating an environment conducive to innovation and technological investment, developing specialized technological industries, and ICT offshore outsourcing industry. It will support MCIT’s efforts in providing distinguished services to citizens through digitization and automation in cooperation with all governmental bodies that will increase the productivity, transparency, integrating ICT in all areas of life, achieving citizens’ financial inclusion and achieving the transition to the digital society.

  • The Environment for Innovation and Technological Investment is enhanced.
  • Human Development and Training Programs are delivered.
  • Transformation to the Digital Society is materialized.
  • Investments & Opening up of New Regional & International Markets are increased.
  • Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy is supported.
