Projects and initiatives
  • The project consists of a multi-level intervention where e-Government solutions are applied in order to increase efficiency and accountability of Public Sector’s processes, improve the delivery of services to the citizen, and enhance coordination among different government entities.

  • After the success of using ICT in “Integrated Program to develop Siwa” project, Egypt Information and Communication Technology Trust Fund (ICT-TF) has launched “ICT for Nuba”. The project aims to enhance the Nubian community by developing a Nubia portal that supports gender equality, education, health, and entrepreneurship. Additionally the project will provide women with access to vocational and SMEs management training courses, e-health services and education resources.

  • Persons with disabilities in Egypt tend to be economically excluded and are not active in the labour market. Moreover, many of them lack the needed ICT, soft and entrepreneurial skills to start their own businesses.

  • This project aims to empower Egyptian youth and help them realize their opportunities through capacity building, job placement and entrepreneurship.

  • Smart Citizen is a platform designed to generate participatory processes of people in cities. Connecting data, people and knowledge, the objective of the platform is to serve as a node for building productive and open indicators, and distributed tools, and thereafter the collective construction of the city for its own inhabitants.

  • The South-South Development Academy Egypt (SSDA) was established in 2014 as a chapter of the Global South-South Development Academy to share the development experiences of countries of the South, based on common interests and provide shared platforms of learning and knowledge-exchange among those facing similar development challenges.

  • In a sense of progress toward a better future and change, the Egyptian Government aims to renovate Egypt Post (EP) by modernizing the services provided to its citizens, especially the unprivileged ones.

  • The project supports the implementing partner activities, ITI, in providing the Egyptian Public and Private labor market with a pool of highly qualified IT professionals and entrepreneurs.

  • In partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, this five-year project aims to support the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, in achieving its mission to create an environment that nurtures talented ICT entrepreneurs with bright ideas, while enhancing Egypt’s reputation as a global competitor in high value-added innovation.

  • In partnership with the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the project aims to build the formulation of regulatory strategies that promote and seek to ensure equal access to various ICT based services, which in turn has spillover effects in strengthening equal and equitable access to telecommunication services for the Egyptian society.

  • UNDP is excited to announce the launching of the “Game Changer Fellowship” which aims to promote and accelerate leadership and innovation in the use of games for social change. This one-year programme is in partnership with the Engagement Lab at Emerson College in Boston USA.

  • This Egypt ICT Trust Fund project entitled “ICT for Comprehensive Community Development (ICT4CCD)” aims to strengthen the impacts of the comprehensive development on citizens’ lives using ICTs.
