The report summarizes the achievements of the National Council for Motherhood and Childhood in Egypt to combat Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). The national programme is being implemented in 120 Egyptian village in Lower and Upper Egypt. The programme was able to operate due to the support received from the local communities. Through the national programme, several villages have been announced from  FGM.
