The Social Fund for Development (SFD) organized the Entrepreneur Women’s Day in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Swedish Embassy on Monday 26 October 2015 in Cairo.
AAIB, UNDP and ECRC celebrate first graduating class of MOSTADAM
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in cooperation with the Arab African International Bank (AAIB) and the Egyptian Corporate Responsibility Center (ECRC) held an awarding ceremony on 22 February to acknowledge 32 graduates of “MOSATADAM”; the first certified training programme in sustainable finance in Egypt and the MENA region.
Measuring Poverty and Hunger in Egypt
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide Egypt with a new framework to monitor and measure its progress and identify gaps and challenges in areas of poverty reduction and ending hunger. But Egypt will need to coordinate these with its own national Sustainable Development Strategy 2030 (SDS), make sure the data needed for monitoring is adequate and available, and policies and investments are guided towards achieving SDGs and SDS, as well as better address the needs of its local communities.
