ICT for Women in Nuba- Integrated Rural Development Programme
What is the Project About:
After the success of using ICT in “Integrated Program to develop Siwa” project, Egypt Information and Communication Technology Trust Fund (ICT-TF) has launched “ICT for Nuba”. The project aims to enhance the Nubian community by developing a Nubia portal that supports gender equality, education, health, and entrepreneurship. Additionally the project will provide women with access to vocational and SMEs management training courses, e-health services and education resources.
What Have We Accomplished So Far:
Health:
- Take health initiatives to establish Tele-Clinic
- Deliver TOT for 9 Doctors
Education:
- 15 up-skilled teachers on management and entrepreneurship
- 580 trained students on entrepreneurship
- Painting CDs
SMEs:
- Deliver TOT for 29 trainers
- Target 18000 potential trainees
Women Empowerment:
- Deliver Know-how to 15 info ladies and 103 Handcrafts ladies
